Family Medicine
The Department of Family Medicine serves as the primary care provider for patients. Through health screenings, the department detects and treats diseases at an early stage, including cancers and chronic conditions such as hypertension. The department also helps patients maintain optimal health and prevent disease by offering education and guidance on healthy lifestyle habits—covering obesity, smoking, alcohol use, diet, exercise, and more.
For patients unsure which department to visit or what treatment they may need, the family physician provides consultation and, when necessary, refers them to the appropriate specialty to ensure they receive the most suitable care.
